VOLUNTEERING

LENDING A HAND … IT’S IN OUR NATURE –

VOLUNTEERING IN CENTRAL COAST

The Ulverstone and Penguin Visitor Information Centres are always looking for volunteers to join their team.

If you have time available and like the thought of assisting visitors with their travel plans, then call in to a Centre and pick up an Expression of Interest form.  Successful candidates will join the volunteer team to keep both Centres open daily. As a volunteer you will enjoy familiarisation tours, regular get-togethers (when Covid 19 safety measures allow), tourism industry training and you will be eligible for some great discounts.

The new Hive building is under construction, but we are already looking for people who would like to share their time and provide support to schools and visitors. Full training will be provided so if would like to branch out and fulfill a dream to learn something new, you will have full support.

We have supporting opportunities in tourism, science, the arts, and public activities, in areas such as front of house, general visitor guides, schools and public programs, exhibit and gallery guides. So, if you like to help others or have an interest in sharing your knowledge, fill in the Expression of Interest form.

If you are interested, or for more information you can visit or contact the Ulverstone Visitor Information Centre located at Hive, 50 Main Street, Ulverstone by phone 6425 2839 or email hive@centralcoast.tas.gov.au. Or, visit or contact the Penguin Visitor Information Centre on 78 Main Road, Penguin by calling 6437 1421 or emailing hive@centralcoast.tas.gov.au
