School Holiday Workshops: Fabulous Fungi with Christina Graham

  • Hive, Studio 1 50 Main Street Ulverstone, TAS, 7315 Australia (map)

Join artist Christina Graham for an arts workshop inspired by the fascinating and often overlooked world of fungi.

Begin in the Gallery with a closer look at Big Small Worlds, exploring the exhibition’s intricate shapes, unexpected colours and captivating details. We’ll then head to Studio One, where Christina will introduce a range of accessible watercolour techniques and guide you in creating your own fungi-inspired artwork.

Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply curious to try something new, this relaxed, hands-on workshop is an opportunity to slow down, get creative and see the natural world from a different perspective.

Inspired to keep creating? A selection of the art materials used during the workshop will also be available to purchase on the day, so you can continue your practice at home.

Christina Graham is a lutruwita/Tasmanian artist and illustrator. Strongly drawn to the documentation of natural occurrences and drawn to an exploration of the space between people, nature and bodies of land. Inspired by her island home, its unique environment and wild places, Christina intricately paints the flora and fauna this inspires. Christina is a traditional artist, working with watercolour, gouache and ink.
