Join current exhibiting artist Eloise Kirk in this multi day workshop at Hive. This workshop is presented alongside Parallel Practice and includes a gallery visit. Participants will create a sculptural work and if time permits, a corresponding collage work in parallel. Participants will explore unique processes and fun, skill building exercises, like Speed Sculpture!
Day 1. Participants learn clay working techniques and develop sculpture skills through fun, hands on activities. The No Fire clay piece is left to cure overnight.
Day 2. Participants return to progress their piece, now cured and ready for painting. Time permitting, participants develop a collage work to sit in partnership with the sculptural piece.
Participants can either book in for the two morning sessions or the two afternoon sessions. A single ticket books both sessions automatically. The workshop series starts on Saturday 24th.
Lab coats will be provided but please wear clothes that can get a bit dirty, just in case.
This workshop will take place at Hive’s Studio One. For this workshop, participants must be signed in and out by designated parent and consent form will be provided to ticket holders one week ahead of workshop. Parents and caregivers are not required to attend this workshop.
Suitable for participants aged 8 – 14
