Scientist in Residence Activity - Open Lab: The Physics of everyday technology

Have you ever looked at something and wondered how it works, or why is it doing that, then congratulations, you’ve taken the first steps in becoming a scientist. Come along to the open lab to explore how the journey to answer questions has shaped the world around us.

Ask about how frog legs helped to invent batteries, get to explore how magnets make electricity or investigate how science of rainbows helps us study the stars. If you also have a question about something of your own, bring it along and let’s see what we can find.

Join Scientist in Residence, Sam Verne to explore physics in this hands-on activity.

This drop-in style activity is suitable for all ages, attendees can arrive and depart any time during the session,

Check in at Hive Visitor Services on arrival.

Attendees must follow Hive Conditions of entry
