During this workshop participants will explore different stitching techniques, layering different weights of fabric, line work and playing with the tension of stitches, which can create different textures. All this stems from the humble straight stitch and we will see where we can take it. Participants play with applying found objects from the beach, such as shells, bottle tops and tiny pieces of driftwood and more. The theme of this workshop comes from the exhibition: Ocean - The Cradle of Life, currently on view in the gallery at Hive.
