History Tour – Ulverstone General Cemetery

Discover the stories of the people who shaped Ulverstone at the Ulverstone General Cemetery. Explore the history of headstone construction and learn to interpret the symbolism engraved on the stones. You’ll also hear about the ongoing work of the Friends of Ulverstone General Cemetery, who help preserve the site and reveal the lives of those buried there.

Tours run on select Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 December 2025.

Enter and park via the Lovett Street entrance and meet at the sign (google maps meeting point).

This tour is presented by Hive Museum volunteers in partnership with the Friends of the Ulverstone General Cemetery, a volunteer group dedicated to maintaining the grounds and sharing local history.
