TAS: Beach Clean Up: Sea Shepherd Australia Marine Debris Campaign – Penguin Surf Life Saving Club 10.30am. Sea Shepherd are once again partnering with "The Penguin Makeover Community" to conduct a cleanup in Penguin. Between 12 and 15 million metric tonnes of land-based plastic enters the ocean each year. You can help us to #StemTheTide of plastic pollution by joining in on one of our beach cleanups! If you are based in Tassie and haven’t yet joined our campaign and met our brilliant team, then why not come along. Bring your family and friends, grab a bag, and together, we can defend, conserve, and protect our oceans. Event Details: * Date: Sunday 10th October 2021
* Location: Penguin Surf Club, 68/62 Preservation Dr, Preservation Bay TAS 7316
* 10.30 am Contact-less registration starts and Event commences with a safety briefing.
* 12.30 pm Event concludes. What to bring: * BYO Reusable gloves (compulsory to BYO and wear gloves during COVID) * Wear closed-in shoes * Be SunSmart * Reusable water bottle (no single-use plastic, please) * Bring along a face mask in case you need to face cover during the event or to adhere to Government restrictions. *If you are feeling unwell on the day, please do not attend. **Please note we have implemented several changes to our cleanups to make them COVID Safe for all participants; however, due to the changing nature of Government restrictions, the above event details and schedule may change. Sea Shepherd Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians upon whose ancestral lands we live and work.
