Gunns Plains 2019 Potato Festival – Gunns Plains Community Hall. Events start at 10.30am. Everyone welcome. Mashed potato competition. All sorts of potato cooking competitions!! Bring along your favourite dish to be judged. Savoury or sweet. Sections for young and old. This will be our 11th Annual Potato Festival and is our major fund raiser for the ongoing maintenance of our community hall, providing an inexpensive family day out with all the fun of a country fair. Events include Potato Races for blokes, ladies and kids; a potato bagging competition; potato throwing; cooking competitions with potatoes – sweet, savoury, mashed, salads, each category is recognised with a winner; the kids colouring in competition, kids potato creations, longest peel, potato stamping....all judged by two very special & popular guests. Entries accepted on the day for all events – EXCEPT the Colouring competition. Colour the Potato Man competition, entry is FREE. Entries must be in by Friday October 25. Entry forms from your local school or 6429 1163. Entry is free and there are great prizes.
