Ulverstone Remembrance Day Service

Ulverstone Remembrance Day Service – The Ulverstone RSL Sub-Branch will be conducting a Remembrance Day Commemorative Service at the Cenotaph, junction of Alexandra Road and Reibey Street, Ulverstone, on Monday 11th November from 10.45am to 11.10am. There will be no formal parade to the cenotaph, rather those who will be attending the Service are asked to assemble in Light Horse Park, adjacent to the Cenotaph, by 10.45am. During the Service we anticipate four to six wreaths being laid on the Cenotaph, when it will be necessary for those doing so to cross over Reibey Street from the Park to the Cenotaph and return. We have requested Tasmania Railways to suspend train movement during that time and sought assistance from Tasmania Police for traffic control during wreath laying. It is envisaged that only a small number of wreaths will be laid during the Service, those being the RSL, Central Coast Council, Federal Government, Federal Opposition, State Government and State Opposition. Others desirous of laying wreaths are invited to do so after the Service.
