Restart A Heart Day - You can help save a life by performing CPR. This Restart a Heart Day, Ambulance Tasmania are going to show you what to do if someone near you is suffering a cardiac arrest – they will be unconscious and not breathing normally. Seconds count in a cardiac arrest. Starting CPR within 3-4 minutes may increase the chance of survival by up to 50 per cent! Come and see one of our public demonstrations around Tasmania or follow Ambulance Tasmania on Facebook to join our interactive live demonstration on Wednesday 16 October at 7pm. Visit www.health.tas.gov.au/restartaheartday to see a full schedule of public demonstrations and to find out more. If someone near you has a cardiac arrest and you’re unsure or forget how to do CPR, that’s ok. Call triple zero and a call taker will guide you through it.
