Penguin Christmas Parade – 1st Friday in December, Starting at 7.00pm, get into the Christmas Spirit and come along to the Main Street in Penguin. All schools, community groups and businesses are invited to have a float in the parade, and are asked to assemble near the Scout Hall before 6.30pm. Join the fun dressed as a penguin, or as a spectator. Shop owners are encouraged to dress their window in the theme of Christmas. The following prizes will be judged while the parade is in progress: Best decorated float, !st prize, $150, 2nd prize $75 and 3rd prize $50. Best costume & participation: 1st prize $70, 2nd prize $50 and prize $30. Individual with the “Christmas Spirit” 1st prize $50, Best dressed Penguin 1st prize $50.
